New Anker SOLIX PS30 Portable Solar Panel (30W) launches

Anker has unveiled the SOLIX PS30 Portable Solar Panel (30W), now available worldwide. The new SOLIX sub-brand launched in June alongside a range of home energy solutions. The small solar panel allows you to charge gadgets on the go thanks to integrated 5V/2.4A USB-A and 5V/3A USB-C ports.

The SOLIX PS30’s USB ports have a combined maximum output of 30W, allowing you to charge two devices simultaneously. The panel is rated as IP65 weather resistant, meaning it can withstand some rain and dust, making it suitable for outdoor use. The device is relatively compact, measuring 5 mm (~0.2-in) thick and 33.5-in (~851 mm) long when unfolded, or 8.8 x 10.7-in (~224 x 272 mm) when folded, and weighing 2.4 lbs (~1.1 kg).

The SOLIX gadget comes with two carabiners to fasten the solar panel to your backpack, allowing you to charge the device as you walk. Anker notes that the PS30 is best used outdoors; the output may be low if you use the solar panel inside, charging near a window.
